How onetenth collects, uses and protects your information

In plain English

We collect the basics needed to run your account and the platform — your name, email, uploads, and a bit of technical data like IP addresses for security and view counts. We don't sell your personal data. You can see, change or delete most of it from your account settings, or by getting in touch.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your first name, surname, email address, nationality and a securely hashed password. You may optionally add a sponsor, race colours, social media handles and a profile photo.

When you upload a setup sheet, we store the file, related details (such as car, track and race date), and a record of which account uploaded it. Uploaded images are automatically checked for inappropriate content before publishing.

We automatically log some technical data as you use the site, including your IP address, which we use for things like counting unique profile views and download activity, and for security purposes such as detecting abuse.

Why we use it

We use your information to create and run your account, display your profile and setups to other users, send account-related emails (such as verification and password resets), keep the platform secure, and improve the service over time.

We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't build profiles of you for marketing purposes.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only with service providers who help us run onetenth, such as our hosting provider, email delivery service, and an automated content moderation service used to check uploaded images. These providers only access what they need to perform their function.

Your public profile, setups, and any details you've chosen to display (such as your name, nationality or sponsor) are visible to other users and visitors of the site, as that's the purpose of the platform.

We may disclose information if required to by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of onetenth or our users.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember basic preferences. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed, though some records (such as download or moderation logs) may be retained in an anonymised or aggregated form for security and reporting purposes.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and ask us to limit or object to how we use it. Most of this you can do directly from your account settings.

If you'd like to exercise any of these rights or have a concern about how your data is handled, get in touch.

Children

onetenth accounts are intended for ages 13 and up. If you're under 13, a parent or guardian must create and manage the account, and is responsible for any information provided to us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we handle data. We'll let you know of any significant changes, and the "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
